This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and billing issues are handled for paid Secrul services — subscription plans and one-time purchases of verification services, including prepaid verification packages. It is part of the Secrul Terms of Service.
Current status: Secrul is in early access, and the website and waitlist are free. The terms below take effect when we launch paid services; pricing and billing details will always be shown before you purchase, and prices are stated in U.S. dollars (USD).
Cancellation
- You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings (Settings > Billing).
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then, and you will not be charged again.
- When you subscribe, we will email you a confirmation with your plan, price, billing frequency, start date, and a direct link to cancel. Every payment receipt shows the amount charged and how to cancel.
- After cancellation you can export your data as described in the Terms of Service (Section 23).
One-time verification services and prepaid packages
- Some Secrul services may be sold per use — for example, verification services for a specific shipment — individually or as a prepaid package of verification credits. The price is always shown before you buy.
- Once a purchased verification service has been performed, that purchase is non-refundable — the service has been delivered.
- If a verification you paid for fails or cannot be completed because of a problem on our side, we will re-run it at no charge or, at your choice, refund or credit that purchase.
- Unused prepaid verification credits do not expire while your account is active. You may request a refund of unused credits from your account within 30 days of purchase; after that, credits are non-refundable. If you close your account, any remaining credits are forfeited — use them (or request an eligible refund) before closing; we will remind you of your remaining balance when you close your account. If we terminate your account without cause or discontinue the paid Services, we will refund remaining unused credits.
Refunds
- Subscription fees are charged in advance for each billing period and are non-refundable for partial periods — cancelling mid-period does not generate a prorated refund.
- If you were charged in error, charged after cancelling, or billed an incorrect amount, submit a billing request from your account (Settings > Billing) within 30 days of the charge and we will correct it and refund the difference. This 30-day window is how we triage billing issues; it does not limit any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law or under card-network rules.
- Purchases billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (if we ever offer them there) are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms; refunds for those purchases must be requested from Apple or Google directly. This policy applies to purchases billed by Secrul.
- If a verified outage on our side prevents you from using the platform for a substantial period, submit a billing request from your account — we will work out a fair credit or refund.
- Nothing in this policy limits refund rights that applicable law gives you and that cannot be waived.
Renewal reminders
For plans with a term of one year or longer, we will email you the renewal price, renewal date, and cancellation instructions at least 15 and no more than 45 days before each renewal. If we ever offer a free or discounted trial, we will remind you at least 7 days before your first full charge. You can always cancel online from your account settings — cancellation is available through at least the same method you used to subscribe, and never requires a phone call or an email.
Charges on your statement
Charges from us appear on your card or bank statement as "SECRUL" (or "SECRUL.COM"). If you do not recognize a charge, submit a billing request from your account (Settings > Billing) before disputing the charge with your bank — we can locate the charge and correct any billing error faster than the dispute process.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we will retry it and notify you. If payment still cannot be collected, we may suspend the subscription until billing is resolved.
Price changes
We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to your subscription. If you do not agree with the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
Billing questions
Billing questions and refund requests are handled in your Secrul account: Settings > Billing. We respond within 5 business days.
